Welcome to AGL
Advancing Georgia's Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry (AGL) is a program of the University of Georgia, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences that develops high-potential, high-performing individuals within agriculture, forestry, natural resources, and allied sectors to become dynamic professionals.
What is AGL?
The aim of AGL is to educate, empower, and connect individuals throughout Georgia by engaging participants in skills-focused leadership development. Participants build professional capital while enhancing their leadership skills and deepening their understanding of political and agricultural systems along with emerging industry issues and trends. Curriculum and programmatic outlines for the upcoming class include a strong network of personal and professional development experiences along with an international component.
How Can I Participate?
To apply for the 2015-2016 Class, you must be nominated by someone in agriculture, forestry, or supporting industries. Nominations will reopen March 1, 2015 with interviews and selections taking place in May 2015. After nominations are received and reviewed, applications will be sent to qualifying nominees.
How Can I Help?
Let us know if you have personal expertise or access to educational experiences that would be valuable for AGL class members. In addition, your tax deductible gift or sponsorship will be an investment in Georgia's future agricultural and natural resources industries. lf you have additional questions or would like to connect with the AGL program, please contact email@example.com.
